Most parents of baseball players talk about wanting a preparedness bag, but the overwhelming number of options for what can go inside deter most from making one. We’ve done the work for you by scanning the internet and reflecting on our own gameday experiences to provide you with a terrific list of items you’ll want in your preparedness bag. Here are the things you are most likely to need:

    • Band-Aids
    • Wet wipes
    • Hand sanitizer
    • Portable phone charger (must keep fully charged)
    • $5 in dollar bills for a snack shack pick-me-up
    • Advil
    • Feminine hygiene products (even when it’s not that time of the month)
    • Tissues
    • Sunblock
    • Three rubber bands
    • Miniature Vaseline (good for lips and much more; doesn’t melt as easily as Chapstick)
    • Pain-B-Gone Roll On (soothe muscle soreness with all-natural ingredients)
  1. Reset for the Next Game

It’s far too easy to neglect baseball bags and supplies after a game. Whether you are putting it off until another day due to time, energy or you just forgot, you will always be better off for having your sports gear prepared ahead of time. This includes washing uniforms and accessory garments, replenishing your preparedness bag, and placing everything in their designated places.

If you can make a habit out of resetting for the next game or practice immediately after getting home from the last one, the entire family will be better off for it. And if you can include your kids in this practice of organization and self-control, they’ll be better off as well.

By emptying a water bottle halfway and then leaving it on its side in the freeze, you get icy water bottles that can double as food coolers should you need them. Plus, they are excellent at helping your baseball players stay cool.
